Obituary for Pedro V. Garcia Sr

Pedro V. Garcia Sr., 76, of San Angelo, formerly of Rowena, passed away Wednesday May 16, 2007 at his home.
Mr. Garcia was born May 13, 1931 in San Marcos, Texas to Juan and Ramona Garcia. He was retired from Western Iron Works in San Angelo and was a long time member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Rowena.
Survivors include his wife, Adela Garcia of San Angelo, 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Carlos and Martha Garcia of Midland and Pedro Garcia Jr. of San Angelo, 5 daughters and sons-in-law, Rita and Gary Cobler of San Angelo, Irene and Johnny Gonzales of Round Rock, Mara and Scott Bloxham of Oklahoma City, OK, Terri and Percy Johnson of Little Elm, Tx, and Lucy and Jimmy Quiroz of San Angelo. He is also survived by 3 sisters including Bettye Carrasco and husband Gilbert of Hereford, Candy Mendoza of San Angelo, and Manuela Frausto and husband, Porfirio of Hondo. 17 Grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren also survive. Mr. Garcia was preceeded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 6 sisters.
Rosary will be held Friday evening at 7pm at the Heritage Family Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday morning at 10AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Rowena with Father Bhaskar Morugudi, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Rowena.
