Bettye Joyce Huckabee
has gone home to be with her lord and Savior on Thursday, February 26, 2009. She was born July 23, 1940 in Merkel, Texas to Earl David and Melba Doris Wisenhunt Carter. She was a graduate of Ballinger High School and belonged to the Primitive Baptist Church. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother.
She is survived by her husband Roy Huckabee of Miles, Texas. Son Rodney Huckabee and wife Elizabeth of Midland, Texas; Daughter Karen Westbrook and husband Weldon of Carlsbad, Texas; Son Raymond Huckabee and wife Theresa of Miles, Texas. 3 Brothers: Bob, Terry and Bill Carter all of San Angelo, Texas. 5 Grandchildren: Dana,Damon and Stacey, Stacy and Crissy, Tracy and Archie, Zachary and Cherlinda and 9 Great Grandchildren.
There will be a time for Visitation for family and friends Sunday, March 01, from 5pm to 7 pm at Heritage Family Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 02, 2009 at the Mt. Olive Cemetery near Caradin, Texas with Rev. Mike Woodard officiating.
