Harvey Coleman McCoy SR, 75, of Belton, funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at Heritage Family Funeral Home Chapel with Duane McCoy officiating, burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Ballinger.

Harvey McCoy SR died of cancer Friday, January 21, 2011 at his home. He was born December 1, 1935, in Georgetown, Texas to Lloyd and Amalita McCoy. He grew up in Amarillo, Texas. He served with the United States Marine Corps in Korea, Japan and the Philippines and the United States Army in numerous locations. After his military career he resided in Ballinger, Texas for twenty three years and east of Dallas, Texas for twenty two years.

Survivors include two sisters, Betty Glen and Shirley Cook both of Amarillo, Texas. He has two daughters, Teresa McCoy Gill of San Angelo, Texas and Tina McCoy Boone of Dallas, Texas. Five sons, Harvey C. McCoy Jr. of San Antonio, Texas; Steven C. McCoy of Abilene, Texas; M. Duane McCoy and Stuart A. McCoy of Belton, Texas; Douglas A. McCoy of Midland, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, his first wife Ethel Firestone McCoy, and his second wife Carol Winters McCoy; one sister Stella McCoy and two sons Larry Neil McCoy and Nathan Wesley McCoy.
Pallbearers will be Harvey C. McCoy, Jr., Steven C. McCoy, Stuart A. McCoy, Douglas A. McCoy, J. Lee Gill, and Marvin Cook.
