Obituary for Carolyn Hiebert

Beloved Mother, Grandmother and friend Carolyn Hiebert of Ballinger formally of Fort Worth passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Central Texas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

A celebration of life for Carolyn will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Heritage Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Dunn of 7th Street Baptist Church officiating.

Mrs. Hiebert was born on Tuesday, May 28, 1940 in Edom, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. Troy B. Shotts. Mrs. Hiebert married the love of her life Mr. Jerrall Bert Hiebert on Saturday, October 10, 1959 in Dallas, Texas.
Mrs. Hiebert enjoyed many actives during her lifetime. Those favorite to her was spending time with her two son’s introducing to the world of Musical Theatre. Two musicals that she especially enjoyed shearing with her sons were “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” and “Cats”. In which the character Frank N Furter set in her lap during a performance.

Carolyn was employed by Texas Wesleyan Law School in Fort Worth, Texas as the law schools office manager. During her time at the law school, she enjoyed traveling the country with her closet friends. One trip included traveling to Salem, Massachusetts in which the group purchased “unusual hats” and wore them upon their return to work.
Mrs. Hiebert and her husband moved to Galveston, Texas for a short time. Her favorite pastime while living in Galveston, was throwing “Cheesez It’s” of the pier for the seagulls to eat. She and her husband enjoyed eating at many different restaurants in the Galveston area.

Mrs. Hiebert was preceded in death by her parents Mr. Troy B. Shotts, Mrs. Velma Ford Shotts and her husband of 35 years Mr. Jerrall Bert Hiebert.

Mrs. Hiebert is survived by her two son’s: Mr. Micheal Todd Hiebert and his wife Mrs. Janet Hiebert of Ballinger, Texas and Mr. Joshua Owen Hiebert and his wife Dr. Kara Merritt of Florissant, Colorado. Four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren in which the all hold a very special place in their grandmother’s heart.

Services have been entrusted to Heritage Family Funeral Home of Ballinger, Texas.
