SAN ANGELO Patricia Amos Sorrell "Pat" Noll, 82, of San Angelo, passed away Friday, Oct. 3, 2014. She was born March 4, 1932, in Menard, Texas, to Edgar and Nell Amos. Pat attended Menard High School and received degrees from the University of Central Oklahoma, where she was an honor student. She taught in several public schools in Texas with a specialty in reading. She was married to John Frank Sorrell of Eden and Arthur W. Noll of Oklahoma. Pat is survived by son Scott and daughter-in-law Jan of Eden; their children, Jared and Caitlin Sorrell of Austin; daughter Melinda Sorrell of Litchfield Park, Arizona; sister Gloria Amos of Menard; beloved sister-in-law Eloise Amos of San Angelo; dear friend Frances Butler of San Angelo; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers James H. Amos of San Angelo and Edgar Amos of Menard. Pat was known for her quick wit and a lifelong love of books and reading. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Pat to the Menard Public Library or the Eden Volunteer Fire Department. A private memorial service is planned for a later date. -
