Obituary for Clyde Hessen "JAY" Slonaker

Clyde Hessen Slonaker JR. (Jay) 84 , passed away at his home in San Angelo TX., on Sunday August 3, 2014 after a lengthy fight with Cancer. He was born on December 9, 1929 to Clyde and Ida Slonaker. Clyde joined the Army in 1946 where he fought in the Korean and Vietnam Wars, where he earned the rankings of Staff Sargent E6. Clyde married his lovely bride in July 1976. Clyde had five children sons Patrick, Charles, and John. Daughters Pamela and Dianna, and one stepson Vernon. Clyde was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and son Patrick. Clyde is survived by his wife Dorothea, sons Charles, John and Vernon, daughters Pamela and Dianna. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 6, 2014 6:00-8:00 pm, service will be Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 4:00 pm in the chapel of Heritage Family Funeral Home in Ballinger TX. Interment will be Friday, August 8, 2014 at 1:30 in San Antonio TX. Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
