Carrie Johnson Hubbard, age 86, of Winters passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at her Home.
A memorial service will be held at Heritage Family Funeral Chapel on Saturday, May 09, 2009 at 10:00 AM .
She was born in Rowena, Texas to Essie and Mary Chase Johnson and raised in Ballinger. She was married to Samuel H. Hubbard, Sr. who preceeded her in death. She held several jobs over the years, and cared for numerous children in her home. She also worked as a nurses aide at the Winters Senior Citizens Nursing Home and later Dry Manufacturing where she remained until she developed health problems. She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters; Carolyn (Willie) Belk of Winters, Alfreda (Robert) Gibbs of Midland; six sons: Samuel (Laverta) Hubbard of Winters, Richard (Norma) Hubbard of Midland, Raymond (Amelia) Hubbard of Brooklyn, NY, Mitchell Hubbard of Winters, Kenneth (Jemema) Hubbard of San Angelo and Gregory (Carol) Hubbard of Canyon County, CA, one cousin, Horace Griffin of Winters, one sister in law, Lilllian (Ivory) Tillman of Houston, Tx. . She will be dearly missed by her 35 Grandchildren and 53 Great-Grandchildren and 8 Great-Great Grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
