Obituary for Maria Gonzales Hernandez

Maria Gonzales Hernandez, 58 of Winters, passed away Wednesday, September 08, 2010, in a local nursing home. Memorial Service will be 10 A.M. Friday, at Heritage Family Funeral Home Chapel.

Maria was born May 25, 1952 in San Antonio, Texas to Clemencia and Encarnacion Gonzales, where she met her husband, Ruben of 42 years. They moved to Winters in 1975. Maria enjoyed being mom and Grandma the most, taking care of everyone, from cooking their favorite meals to watching her kids and grandkids play games and participate in sports.

Maria was preceded in death by: her dad, one son David Hernandez, and one sister Otelia Garcia.

Maria is survived by: her husband Ruben Hernandez Sr., two daughters, Lillie Hernandez and Priscilla Hernandez, four sons, Ruben Hernandez Jr., Michael Hernandez, Gabriel Hernandez, and Jacob Hernandez, all of Winters, 22 grandchildren, a great-grandchild, her mother, Clemencia Gonzales of San Antonio, two sisters, Minerva Villanueva and Cynthia Gonzales, a brother Joe Gonzales, and numerous extended family.
