Obituary for Levie "Buddy" Conner

Levie "Buddy" Conner, 74, of Miles, passed away November 24, 2010, at his residence surrounded by his family. Graveside service 2:00 PM Saturday in Miles Cemetery, services under the direction of Heritage Family Funeral Home.
He was born October 26, 1936 in Jacksonville, Florida to Pearl and Levie Delion Conner Sr. Buddy was a charter member of the San Angelo Saddle Club. He retired in 1997 after thirty-three years of employment with Ethicon. He was an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and mainly just being outdoors. Buddy was a friend to all, and if you needed something, he was always there. He married Beverly Hill on August 22, 1992 and spent many years together until her death March 22, 2000. Then Buddy married Judye Maddox on April 8, 2005 in San Angelo, and spent nearly six wonderful years together.

Buddy is survived by: his wife, Judye Conner of Miles, five daughters, Paula Kyser and husband Tommy of Louisville, KY, Marie Grider and husband Joddy of Belton, MO, Joy Conner of San Angelo, Betty Summers and husband Gary of Lubbock, Felicia Long and husband of San Angelo, son, Paul Conner and wife Cindy of Magnolia, grandchildren, Medina Cooper, William Kyser, Tiffany Perez, Clint Howard, Candace Ammons, Timmy Watson, Gene Cowen, Robert Cowen, and Stephanie Long, great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Grider, Andrew Kyser, Jacob Kyser, Dalton Ammons, Delvin Ammons Adam Ammons, Elizabeth Chevalin, Raistlin Ammons, Rachael Ammons, Lily Howard, Bobby Watson, Haylee Watson, Byron Watson, Elizabeth Watson, Kaitelyn Watson, Crystal Cowen, Katrina Cowen, and Tede Cowen. nephew, L.B. Johnson, nieces, Becky Davis, Brenda Henry, and Belinda Blair, and special friends, Harvey and Dianne Eggermyer, and Gary Gentry.
Buddy was preceded in death by: his parents, wife Beverly, sister Louis Johnson, and stepfather Jeff Armstrong.
