Johnny Ray “Raybo” Walker
Johnny Ray “Raybo” Walker, 67, of Ballinger, died on October 10, 2010, in a local care center. He was surrounded by his family as he was lifted to heaven by angels and received into the arms of God.

Johnny was born on February 11, 1943, to O.B. and Oleta Walker in Carlsbad, Texas. He married his best friend and lifelong love, Louise, on June 15, 1963 in Miles.

Johnny proudly served our country in the US Army. Throughout his life Johnny worked in the oilfield for Tucker Drilling Company and Carraway Drilling Company. Johnny was a plumber for Walker Plumbing Company until his illness in 2005.

Johnny was a devoted family man and a true friend. He loved fishing, hunting and playing with his grandkids. He will be missed on earth, but we know we will be with him in heaven to see him whole and happy once again.

Johnny Walker is survived by his loving wife, Louise, of 47 years, two daughters: Brenda Bacon and husband Kent of Carrollton, Cindy Brosig and husband Mike of Dallas, two grandchildren, the light of his life, Shane and Kaci Bacon of Carrolton, two brothers: Kenny Walker and wife Susie of Carlsbad, Floyd Walker of Maverick, and “brother” Johnny A. Walker and wife Norma of San Angelo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Donna Walker.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 12, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Heritage Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Miles, with Brother David Williams officiating, with Military burial to follow in Miles Cemetery.
